I started my journey to a good law school, at clat possible,
I’m flying to the best, this summer, believing in it’s ‘possible’.
There’s so much you can achieve,
Only when you believe
There’s so much you can achieve just when you’re at the right place,
It was undoubtedly,Clat Possible,in my case.
I started out as a person who didn’t think this was achievable, looking at the cut-throat competition out there. Started with an average mock score, just wanting to put in all the effort that i could, wanting to make it seem less of a dream, more of a reality.
I know,so many of you are anxious to know where youre gonna be next year, what you should be doing now for that to happen, and how we deal with the usual Clat glitches even after having put in blood and sweat. This isn’t something you have to religiously follow, it’s just a little note to all aspirants who are looking for answers, just how i was ,once.
To really begin with, believe me,if you’re at Clat possible, you’re at the right place. That Said, you should attend classes after getting yourself enrolled. More importantly, read and re-read what the place says, it’s possible.
Work on your own before you come to class and then work with your teachers. The entire point of joining a Test prep institute is that you learn from what your teachers are telling you because that’s how you save on time and get ahead of a lot of people. The little doubts won’t look little when you miss out on a college by 0.25 marks ,so please go ahead, ask everything right now.
Know you’re here to make it to the top law schools, and you have to battle it out for the top position. At no point of time, should you give up, tell yourself it was a bad day when you have a bad mock score, and a good day when you have a good mock score.Focus on what’s going to matter on the D-day,your level of preparation.
Talk to your mentors, sit down and chalk out a plan with them, they’re going to be brutally honest about where youre lacking and that’s where you’re going to have to work.
it’s better to realize this now, that CLAT isn’t a one subject oriented paper but an aptitude paper that though has different weightage for different sections yet ,each section is as important as the other.
Do not neglect any section, strengthen your strengths, fight your fears , you have ample time to go either bad to good or bad to worse. The decision is yours.
I’ll also put down a section brief ,this is what i did.
English was not a big problem for me, i did have to do a little of vocabulary, but I’ve always been fond of words and new words so that was something i loved to do.
Again Math has been an all time favorite so it wasn’t much of a hassle however i did have to work on a little complex problems and Amit Sir and Shyam Sir have literally sat down with me and made me master my Math and Logical Sections.
Legal i referred to the CP material, the black books, green books and the blue books, mocks and of course the past year papers and i think what i did realize even though a little late in my preparation that it is very very important to have a study partner for legal specially so i think 3-4 of my Friends and I we have sat down for hours with the legal faculty and discussed questions trying to arrive at a logical conclusion, but remember it’s not about coming to a final answer, it’s about the entire path that you took to reach there so for legal the key is trying to comprehend the principle and reasoning it out in a certain way.
Now honestly the biggest fear and weakness has been GK for me and I think thats with every CLAT aspirant who is managing boards with CLAT. So for GK i think what i did was just follow Sanjay Sir. You have to do 1. Your Class Notes 2. Compendiums 3 Redo it again and again thats how you master GK is what he taught us and trust me it works better than any thing
For those who are going to take CLAT in the next two years, all i have to say to you is that 1. believe that you can 2.its not about running in the race, it’s also about starting early,so begin NOW 3.Please do your mocks as your CLAT exam, take it very seriously, analyse them properly and make sure you learn from them, it’s the most crucial part of your preparation.
Make sure you’re devoting ample time to your CLAT preparation along with your boards. You should have your priorities set, work on the targets you set do not lose touch with any section, keep doing it regularly. !
Clat Possible is without an iota of doubt the best educational institute in the country for CLAT. The personal attention and guidance that you receive here is unparalleled. I clearly remember that in the last two months of our preparation, Surabhi Ma’am has sat down with us for hours at stretch and solved our doubts and queries, she’s been as dedicated as us throughout. When i was really struggling with boards and CLAT,i remember Shyam Sir sat me down and counselled me and chalked out a plan that i had to work on. I was poor in GK and i had almost given up on it but the support that Sanjay Sir provided whether it was through his notes, material or the simple fact that he reiterated, “Shivangi you can” Vartika Ma’am always helping me out with whatever material i needed and arranging for doubt sessions in a snap just so that we don’t lose out on 1/4th of a mark. I owe so much to this place and consider myself to be very lucky to be part of this beautiful team at Clat Possible.
And one BIG FEAR, the technical glitches, the other glitches, the A problem, the Z problem:
No one, not me,not your mentors and not even God can tell you what’ll happen next year on the D-day ,what surprises CLAT is gonna throw,we don’t know, but what i know for sure is if you’re prepared and confident about your preparation, you will deliver, you will find your way to the law school of your choice, then it doesn’t matter if you’re sitting in the scorching heat or in a chilled room, your computer shuts down and restarts or the screen goes blank, you will fight that, just like CLAT aspirants in 2018 did,and cheers to these warriors. It’s no magic,no rocket science, simple karma.
Wishing you all,best of luck.
I hope you get to your favorite law school.
