This time of the year has always been most tense when two giant exams clash and we do not want you to be collateral damage. The two giants are your boards and the competitive exam you have to undertake to get into college. Needless to say that both are extremely important and have to be given adequate time. This is where an intelligent time table and schedule works.
Since both the boards and the competition are at least year – long activities one has to make a broad plan over the months and then divide time over weeks and days. My suggestions after having helped over 5000 students over the years are as follow
- As you set foot into class 12th make a broad calendar of your school; earmarking the months where you will be most busy in school. For eg. Exams and practicals.
- The remaining months you must plan effectively for your competitions.
- In the remaining months plan in deadlines that you have to meet. For eg. Completion of the CLAT/ BBA/SAT/ competitive exam syllabus. Then maybe the next slot is for practice time or mocks.
- Once the broad months have been given to the competitive exams you need to divide the week effectively to allot days where you will give time exclusively/ maximum time to the competitive exam preparation.
- Now after your week is divided aspire to meet the monthly deadlines made in point no. 3
Other things to take care about
- Never skip/cut class at the coaching institute. These classes simplify the concepts and speed up the coverage of the syllabus.
- Always be open and up front with your mentors. Ask doubts and discuss your time table to keep improving it.
- Revise the work done in class and solve the books.
- Be regular with mock tests and then analyse them.
