1. RRR’s Naatu Naatu Song wins the Golden Globe award in the Best Original Song Category.
(a) In an Award ceremony at Beverly Hills, Indian Movie ‘RRR’ Directed by S.S. Rajamouli has won the Golden Globe award in the Best Original Song Category.
(b) The Music Director of the song M.M. Keeravani accepted the award at the Ceremony.
(c) The Original Song was sung was Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.The Lyrics were written by Chandra Bose and Krishna Kanth.
2. 26th Edition of the National Youth Festival to be launched by the Prime Minister in Hubballi- Dharwad, Karnataka.
(a) The National Youth Festival will be a 5-day event Culminating on 16th January.
(b) The Youth Festival is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand AKA National Youth Festival.
(c) The Youth Festival is organised by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Host State Government.
(d) The Theme of this Years’ celebration is Viksit Yuva- Viksit Bharat.
3. The Defence Ministry has approved Proposals worth 4276 Crores.
(a) The Defence Ministry has approved the 3 Procurement Deals to bolster the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces along the Line of Actual Control against China.
(b) The Proposals were cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council.
(c) These Proposals also include the Helina Anti-Tank Guided Missiles.
(d) Helina is developed by the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad under the Missiles and Strategic Systems (MSS) cluster of the DRDO.
4. A Slowdown in India’s Financial Growth in the upcoming Financial Year Says World Bank.
(a)The World Bank has projected India’s Financial Growth to be at 6.9% for FY23.
(b) However, even with this Rate, India will still regain its spot of the fastest growing economy in the World.
(c)However the Global Growth Rate projected by the World Bank is approximately 1.7% primarily due to Elevated Inflation, Higher Interest Rates, and Russia- Ukraine Crisis.
5. Uganda Declares an end to ‘EBOLA’ Outbreak that costed 55 lives.
(a) WHO’s Chief Tedros Adhanom on Wednesday declared an end to Ebola Virus Outbreak in Uganda.
(b) Uganda saw an outbreak of Ebola in September 2022.
(c) Ebola virus disease formerly known as Ebola Hemorrhagic fever is a rare but severe, often fatal illness in Human.
(d) Zaire Ebolavirus is the most commonly known species of the genus Ebolavirus.
(e)The first case of the Ebolavirus was found in Zaire, which now is called Democratic Republic of Congo.
