For the academic session 2024-25, the 'Akanksha Yojana' will select 400 students for JEE coaching in Bhopal, 200 students for NEET coaching in Indore, and another 200 students for CLAT coaching in Jabalpur. The selection process will be merit-based, considering the marks obtained in both an entrance examination conducted by the coaching institute and the students' 10th-grade results.

Application Process

Applications for this program are now being invited at the state level. Interested students can apply through the official channels provided by the Department of Tribal Affairs. The initiative aims to support students who have already shown remarkable success in these exams without any formal coaching, having been taught by their subject teachers in school.

Additional Support

The selected students will be provided with residential facilities at the coaching centers. In addition to this, they will receive books, stationery, and tablets equipped with free internet and data plans to aid their preparation. Vandana Vaidya, Additional Commissioner of the Department, emphasized the importance of these resources in helping students achieve their academic goals.

The 'Akanksha Yojana' is a significant step towards empowering tribal students and providing them with the necessary resources to succeed in national competitive examinations. This initiative not only aims to boost their representation in higher educational institutions but also to ensure they have the support needed to excel.
